Sanya: a beach holiday with room for an island and a different view

For a first visit, allow four nights in one hotel. Choose Dadonghai for city dinners and varied outings, or Yalong Bay when beach and resort time come first. Keep an uncommitted weather window, choose one island, and return to the same bed each evening. Crossing the city every day can consume the holiday you came for.

Eight choices, grouped by what they add

The numbers stay the same throughout this guide. Visit times are editorial allowances, excluding long queues; ticket figures describe published standard adult products, not the whole day’s cost or live inventory.

How long to stay, and what to leave out

Four nights is the useful starting point. Keep a beach/rest block, one island outing if conditions permit, and one contrasting land outing. Add Luhuitou near an easy evening. Arrival and departure rarely leave two complete sightseeing days: place the long island or Nanshan trip between them, with a spare block in which to move it.

Two or three nights: keep the beach, #3 and either an island or #4. The loss is a second major outing and the ability to move plans around poor weather. If your main aim is a resort break, dropping both islands may be the best choice. Five or six nights: add #6 and more pool, reading and meal time before adding another hotel. A two-bay split only earns its luggage move when you genuinely want several nights of both city access and resort seclusion.

Only one full day: from a Sanya hotel, combine a morning beach visit, a midday rest and #3 towards dusk; add a city dinner. A dedicated Nanshan day is a valid substitute for someone interested in Buddhism. You lose the leisurely resort rhythm and island option. Do not fly in, squeeze in a boat crossing and fly out on a tight schedule.

Good combinations: #6 in the morning → lunch and rest at a Yalong hotel → a short #1 shore walk; or #4 → optional #5 → the same hotel. Poor combinations: #2 + #7, an island + Nanshan, or a distant show after a tiring island day. The island alternatives duplicate the boat commitment even though the experiences differ.

Choose the bay before choosing the room

Dadonghai 大东海: the better compromise for varied outings, meals in the city and #3. It is a developed urban beach district; a waterfront hotel may still be a taxi ride from the restaurants you want. Yalong Bay 亚龙湾: choose it for a longer beach-and-pool stay and #6 nearby. Western sights and city dinners mean more road time. Sanya Bay 三亚湾: consider it when airport convenience and a coastal promenade matter more than a resort enclosure; its hotel strip is long, so compare the actual address. Haitang Bay 海棠湾: best for a particular resort’s pools and facilities and access towards #2, with a bigger commitment to staying around that resort. Do not choose it on the assumption that sea swimming will be available.

JW Marriott Hotel Sanya Dadonghai Bay · a city-side resort base

三亚大东海JW万豪酒店,大东海海韵路88号. The official gallery identifies a King Deluxe Guest Room, Twin/Twin Deluxe Guest Room and a Family Guest Room with one king bed and one bunk bed. These solve different needs: one shared bed, two separate beds, or a family configuration. Choose the exact category in the room booking, then confirm child ages, permitted occupancy and breakfast rather than treating a photograph as inventory. Hotel: +86 898 88211688.

Use this as the single base for #3, a First Market dinner, and separate eastern or western outings. On arrival, leave bags at reception before any visit; a room may not be ready early. After #3 or dinner, show the full hotel name and address for the return. After an island, first return to its mainland pier, then to this hotel. The quieter western edge of Dadonghai costs some convenience compared with a room directly among the central beach restaurants.

Sanya Marriott Yalong Bay Resort & Spa · a beach-first base

三亚亚龙湾万豪度假酒店,亚龙湾国家旅游度假区. The official gallery lists one king bed, two double beds, a Family Room with two double beds and a two-bedroom Family Connecting Room. Confirm the actual connecting category if separation is essential; two ordinary rooms with a request to connect are not the same reservation. Check the selected room and rate for occupancy, breakfast and cancellation. Hotel: +86 898 88568888.

Use the resort as both the sleeping base and the midday recovery stop. Pair #6 with time back here, and keep an island or Nanshan as a separate full outing. An evening city meal requires a return car, so eat near the bay when tired. Nearby Baihua Valley 百花谷 is a practical restaurant area identified by the tourism board; it does not mean every restaurant is walkable from every resort. Ask reception for the actual walking or taxi route.

Before paying for either hotel: enter all guests and ages, confirm passport-name spelling and the room’s real beds, then compare the total price including taxes, breakfast and any extra-bed charge. These are named location-and-room examples, not live price quotes or tested stays. Keep the Chinese hotel card and reception number offline. Bring every traveller’s original identity document; online room availability does not establish that a particular booking field or foreign-card payment will work.

Airport or station → your hotel → the same departure point

Flying in: choose Sanya Phoenix International Airport, SYX · 三亚凤凰国际机场 for Sanya itself. From arrivals, use the signed taxi rank or a hotel-arranged car with an agreed meeting point; show the complete hotel address. A Yalong hotel and a Dadonghai hotel are not interchangeable destinations. For a first arrival with luggage, a direct car is simpler than a train-and-taxi connection. Allow roughly 45–75 minutes to Dadonghai or 50–90 minutes to Yalong Bay as conservative planning ranges, with more for holiday traffic; they are not measured or guaranteed journey times.

Arriving by rail from elsewhere on Hainan: search the actual stops in 12306. Sanya Station 三亚站 is useful for the city and Dadonghai; continue by taxi to your hotel, allowing roughly 30–60 minutes. Yalong Bay Station 亚龙湾站 can suit a Yalong hotel when your train stops there, but the station is inland: retain a road transfer, roughly 25–45 minutes as a planning allowance. It is not a platform on the beach. Phoenix Airport Station 凤凰机场站 serves the airport connection; the airport’s official guide locates its main approach west of Terminal 1. Check the terminal and exact station on your own booking.

For a lower-cost arrival: the tourism board points to the airport bus ticket desk opposite Gate 5. Ask which current route serves your hotel area and where you would get off. No last bus or current fare was verified here. Use the signed taxi rank if the service has finished or the onward transfer is unclear. City buses and the tram can help on suitable urban journeys, but they do not remove the final road leg to every bay or attraction. This guide therefore uses named car destinations rather than outdated route numbers.

Leaving Sanya starts back at your hotel. Return from the outing, collect bags and allow time for checkout before the direct car. As an editorial starting buffer, leave a Dadonghai or Yalong hotel at least four hours before a domestic flight and five before an international flight, then increase that if your airline, terminal, traffic or assistance needs require it. For a train, allow the road transfer plus at least one hour at the exact station; verify the railway’s actual boarding cutoff. Arrange the car with reception the evening before an early departure.

If a connection is lost: ask the airline or 12306/station desk for your ticket’s change options, then secure a confirmed bed—preferably an extension at the same hotel—before leaving for another district. If a storm interrupts services, follow airport and operator notices, contact the hotel about extending, and avoid a speculative cross-island taxi to chase another flight. A Haikou flight is a different, longer journey, not a nearby substitute airport.

Group the outings by direction

Read the coast as separate clusters: Nanshan, Tianya Haijiao and West Island’s pier to the west; the city, Dadonghai and Luhuitou nearer the centre; Yalong Bay and its forest park farther east; Wuzhizhou’s mainland pier beyond them towards Haitang. Songcheng is inland. This relationship explains the combinations; it is not a scale map or a promise that adjacent names are walkable.

  • From the Dadonghai hotel: keep #3 and dinner as a short outing. For #4, book an early car and return directly, adding #5 only by agreement. For #2 or #7, leave bags in the room, carry a small day bag, and return via the same mainland pier to the hotel.
  • From the Yalong hotel: combine #6 with a hotel rest and #1. Give #2 its own day. A Nanshan trip crosses much of the city; arrange both road legs and resist adding an island. Return to this same hotel even if dinner is nearer the city.
  • For all car outings: agree the precise exit pickup, waiting policy, total or metered fare and any parking charge. A driver waiting all day is a different product from two one-way rides. Keep a screenshot of the meeting pin and vehicle details; reception can help if a ride-hailing app fails.

For an unfamiliar attraction, start by saving the Chinese visitor-centre name in its numbered entry below. Use your current map app’s driving route and live traffic rather than adding up optimistic brochure times. Do not treat hotel-branded shuttles as public transport without a confirmed reservation, eligibility and final return.

Book the room first; keep the sea flexible

Booking order: secure the hotel, bed configuration and intercity arrival; choose the main show’s date and seats if #8 is important; then book date-specific land attractions. For an island, check cancellation terms and the operator’s latest sea-condition notice before committing. At the pier, confirm eligibility, the ticket’s return crossing and the return queue arrangements before boarding. A no-sail day should leave you with a usable hotel and mainland plan.

Admission is only one part of the cost. A Nanshan + forest-park combination on separate days totals CNY 287 in October–April or CNY 248 in May–September at the published adult entry products above. That includes the forest park’s listed transport but excludes Nanshan transport, both road journeys, meals and extras. Free basic entry at #3 and #5 does not make carts, boats or commercial experiences free. Discounts may require particular documents; this guide does not assume a foreign passport meets every concession rule.

If a booking screen only accepts a Chinese identity card: do not type a passport into that field or use another person’s identity. Before travelling, ask the hotel to contact the attraction’s official service channel with your document type and date. Ask: 外国护照在哪里买票?需要预约吗?在哪个人工窗口核验? (Where can I buy with a foreign passport; is a reservation needed; which staffed counter verifies it?) Keep the reply, bring the original passport and allow extra time at the named visitor centre. A staffed-counter enquiry is the fallback, not a promise of capacity or guaranteed entry.

Nanshan’s published online instructions describe Chinese identity-card entry, so passport fulfilment remains unverified. For Wuzhizhou use the operator’s current notices and service contact; for the forest park use its ticket page; for Songcheng use the official booking/programme page. If document acceptance cannot be resolved, retain the hotel, use the public shore only where open, and move the paid visit. Mainland beach access and attraction admission do not establish eligibility to enter China.

At an island landing: record where and when you must queue back, not merely a final departure printed on an old website. Return early if staff advise changing weather. If service is suspended after you arrive, stay with the operator’s passenger instructions and contact your hotel; do not seek an informal boat. Keep both islands away from flight and rail departure days.

What each visit gives you

1. Yalong Bay beach 亚龙湾

Choose this for a broad sandy-bay setting and time to do very little. It works particularly well when your hotel is here: a morning shore walk and an afternoon rest can be the point of the day. It is a developed resort coast, not an isolated wilderness beach.

Hours
Use daylight for an unfamiliar shore. Beach access has no single park-wide timetable; managed access points, facilities and swimming zones set their own hours. The tourism board’s bay guide identifies the resort area.
Tickets
A public shore walk is different from buying a resort day pass or a marine activity. Do not buy a forest-park ticket to reach the beach. Loungers, pools, changing facilities and water sports may require payment or a hotel entitlement; ask before using them.
Time
2–4 hours, or a slower resort day (editorial allowance)
Chinese address
海南省三亚市吉阳区亚龙湾国家旅游度假区,亚龙湾公共沙滩入口
Getting there
From an outside hotel, ask reception to mark the current public beach access near the central resort area, and send that exact pin to your taxi. A hotel-name destination may lead to a controlled lobby entrance. Save the same roadside pickup pin for the return to your booked hotel.
How to visit
Walk a manageable stretch, stop for shade and a drink, then return by the same access route. Enter the sea only where swimming is currently permitted and supervised; follow flags and lifeguards, and stay out when closed. A beautiful sea view is not evidence of safe water. Families can keep the visit as sand play and a hotel-pool afternoon without losing the main experience.

Back to the eight-choice comparison

2. Wuzhizhou Island 蜈支洲岛

Choose this for a managed island excursion with beaches and optional marine activities. The boat crossing and organised visitor areas make it a substantially different day from staying on the mainland beach. It is the more activity-focused island choice; choose #7 instead if village lanes matter more than paid water experiences.

Hours
The operator publishes outbound boats 08:30–16:00 and return boats 09:00–19:30, subject to sea and weather changes. These are operating windows, not guaranteed departures. Start in the morning and use the day’s posted return instructions.
Tickets
The published standard adult product starts at CNY 144 for entry and return boat. Carts, diving and other activities are additional. Some island roads require the sightseeing cart; do not assume an unrestricted walking circuit. Swimming areas can close independently.
Time
A full outing; allow 6–8 hours including transfers and queues (editorial allowance)
Chinese address
海南省三亚市海棠区,蜈支洲岛游客中心(陆地码头,后海一带)
Getting there
Book the car to 蜈支洲岛游客中心 on the mainland, not an island hotel. From either Dadonghai or Yalong Bay, retain the driver contact or arrange a return pickup here. After the return boat, use that mainland pickup point to go back to the same hotel.
How to visit
Before paying, check the operator’s boarding restrictions: its terms exclude people over 70, pregnant travellers and certain mobility or health conditions. At the age boundary or with a relevant condition, ask the operator directly rather than assuming eligibility. Call 400-114-6666. For those travelling, agree the return-queue deadline at landing, choose a short shore visit or one activity, and leave spare time for the boat. Do not put this outing before a flight.

3. Luhuitou 鹿回头

This hill is the clearest short introduction to Sanya’s city, bays and headlands. The deer-and-lovers sculpture tells a Li love legend; the larger reward is seeing how the city fits around the water. It is an easy choice to pair with a Dadonghai stay, although the ascent still involves real effort in heat.

Hours
The tourism board lists 08:00–22:30. Arrive before dusk to see the coastline in daylight; weather and temporary notices take priority. Do not equate the park’s closing time with the last cart departure.
Tickets
Basic entry is free, confirmed in the district government’s February 2026 account. Carts, food and paid experiences are separate. Free entry does not prove that a booking or identity check is unnecessary.
Time
2–3 hours, preferably late afternoon into dusk (editorial allowance)
Chinese address
海南省三亚市吉阳区小东海路与鹿岭路交叉口附近,鹿回头风景区入口
Getting there
From the JW Marriott Dadonghai base, take a short local taxi to 鹿回头风景区游客中心. Return to the entrance for the same-hotel taxi, or continue by car to First Market for dinner before returning to the hotel. Do not finish at an unsigned hillside road.
How to visit
Follow the signed ascent and viewpoints towards the sculpture. Choose the paid cart if the climb would spoil the evening, after checking its final return service. Keep a shorter downhill route in reserve and carry water. Skip an exposed summit in lightning or strong wind; a café is not a reason to ignore a closure. Visitor enquiries: 0898-88213740.

4. Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone 南山文化旅游区

Choose Nanshan for the monumental sea-facing Guanyin and Buddhist temple setting. This is a modern, large-scale religious and visitor complex, not an excavated ancient city. Give it time for the approach, courtyards and a quiet pause; it is not a quick statue stop between beaches.

Hours
The operator’s booking page offers entry windows 08:00–13:00 and 13:00–17:00. These describe entry slots, not permission to remain indefinitely. Choose a morning slot and confirm the day’s closing time at entry.
Tickets
CNY 129 from 1 October to 30 April; CNY 108 from 1 May to 30 September, standard adult admission on the operator’s seasonal table. Sightseeing transport, meals and any separately ticketed interior or activity are outside this entry budget.
Time
4–5 hours inside, plus a substantial westbound transfer (editorial allowance)
Chinese address
海南省三亚市崖州区南山文化旅游区游客中心
Getting there
Arrange a car to 南山文化旅游区游客中心 with the return to your Dadonghai or Yalong hotel agreed in advance. Confirm the official visitor entrance and pickup bay with the driver; the coast is far west of the central hotel districts.
How to visit
Start with the signed route towards the Guanyin approach, then choose temple courtyards rather than trying to cover every garden. Dress and behave respectfully in worship spaces and follow room-specific photography rules. The exposed approaches are tiring in sun. Ask which cart stops shorten your return. Only add #5 afterwards if you finish with ample daylight and energy; otherwise go directly back to your hotel.
The white Guanyin statue stands on its offshore platform at Nanshan, with the coastal approach visible
Nanshan’s monumental Guanyin is a different experience from a beach afternoon: a large modern Buddhist visitor complex with exposed walking approaches. Photo: Gary Todd / Wikimedia Commons, CC0 1.0; resized without cropping.

5. Tianya Haijiao 天涯海角

Choose this for the coastal boulders and their inscribed place names, especially if the idea of travelling to the ‘end of the earth’ appeals to you. It gives a western-coast outing a cultural focus. If you simply want sand and sea, a beach near your hotel may be enough.

Hours
The tourism board lists 08:00–18:30 March–September and 08:00–18:00 October–February. Check the operator’s closure notices before travelling; historical gate information may change.
Tickets
The district government describes free basic admission as the park’s ongoing model, separately from temporary summer promotions elsewhere. It does not include carts, boats, commercial photo sets or other paid products.
Time
2–3 hours (editorial allowance)
Chinese address
海南省三亚市天涯区马岭山麓,天涯海角游览区游客中心
Getting there
Use 天涯海角游客中心 and the entrance confirmed that day, rather than an old West Gate pin. From Nanshan, agree this as a separate stop with the driver before leaving. Finish at the designated exit pickup for the car back to your original hotel.
How to visit
Follow the coastal path to the principal inscribed boulders, take a shorter return if heat or queues build, and keep away from wet rocks and restricted water. The setting is the attraction; you do not need a boat or photography package to appreciate it. Enquiries: 0898-88910131. This is an optional addition to a western day, not a reason to rush Nanshan.

Back to the eight-choice comparison

6. Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park 亚龙湾热带天堂森林公园

Choose this for forest on the hills above Yalong Bay and an elevated view over the resort coast. It is a managed scenic park with attractions and internal transport. The suspension bridge and glass walkway are optional experiences, not a requirement to make the park worthwhile.

Hours
The tourism board lists 08:00–18:00. The operator separately closes the hiking trail at 16:00 and closes it throughout thunderstorms; a general park closing time is not a hiking cutoff.
Tickets
The operator’s entry + return sightseeing-transport table is CNY 158, 1 October–30 April; CNY 140, 1 May–30 September. Glass-walkway, suspension-bridge and activity packages need their own inclusion check. Do not assume every advertised experience comes with this basic product.
Time
4–5 hours with the park’s sightseeing transport (editorial allowance)
Chinese address
海南省三亚市吉阳区亚龙湾国家旅游度假区,亚龙湾热带天堂森林公园游客中心
Getting there
Take a car to the forest park visitor centre, not 亚龙湾沙滩 or 鸟巢酒店. From a Yalong hotel this is a separate local road journey. Return by park transport to the exit, then take the booked car back to the same resort for a rest.
How to visit
Use the sightseeing transport to reach the main scenic stops, then walk the signed viewpoints and short forest sections. Decide about the glass walkway only after checking visibility, weather and your comfort with heights. The operator warns that a full walking ascent and descent takes at least four hours; a late arrival is a poor time to start it. Call 0898-38238888 for the current route and accessible-transport limits.

Back to the eight-choice comparison

7. West Island fishing village 西岛渔村

Choose West Island instead of Wuzhizhou when an inhabited fishing village, coral-stone houses and quieter lane walking interest you more than a menu of marine activities. Tourism businesses share the island with everyday life. Respect residents’ doors and working spaces; an attractive alley is not a private-home invitation.

Hours
The tourism board’s fishing-village page describes the village, but its all-day listing is not a ferry timetable. This guide could not confirm a current sailing window. Travel only after the mainland visitor desk confirms outward boarding and that day’s return arrangements.
Tickets
Confirm the current standard product at 肖旗港西岛游客中心: island admission, return crossing, document acceptance and what costs extra. No current official adult price was established here; do not substitute an old promotional fare. If the terms cannot be confirmed before boarding, use the mainland alternative below.
Time
A full outing; allow 6–8 hours including the boat and transfers (editorial allowance)
Chinese address
海南省三亚市天涯区肖旗港,西岛海洋文化旅游区游客中心(陆地乘船入口)
Getting there
Book the car to 肖旗港西岛游客中心, not a residents’ or cargo pier. Keep the same mainland pickup for the return to Dadonghai or your Yalong hotel. The island is a separate boat trip, not a road stop on the way to Tianya Haijiao.
How to visit
Before boarding, ask staff to write the return pier, whether a reservation is needed, and the latest time you must join the queue. Treat that as a hard cutoff and set an earlier reminder. On the island, choose the village lanes and shore walk instead of attempting every paid activity. If the return process or sea conditions are uncertain, do not board: choose #5 if open, then return to your hotel. Never reserve this trip for your departure day.

Back to the eight-choice comparison

8. Sanya Songcheng Show Park 三亚千古情

Choose this for a large staged production and an evening change from the beach. It is a modern entertainment park using local stories, not a preserved Li or Miao village. The main theatre is the reason to book; side performances and reconstructed streets are secondary.

Hours
The tourism board lists 15:00–21:30 as a general park window. The operator’s current programme and official booking QR determine your show slot, entry and any changes. Do not arrive for an assumed nightly time.
Tickets
Select the date and seat tier in the operator-linked booking channel; verify whether the main show and park admission are both included. A current final seat price was not readable in the public operator page. Side shows are capacity- and programme-dependent, and optional purchases are separate.
Time
3–4 hours around a confirmed main-show time (editorial allowance)
Chinese address
海南省三亚市吉阳区迎宾路333号,三亚千古情景区
Getting there
Take a car from your hotel to 三亚千古情景区正门. Allow time for identity/ticket help before the show. Arrange the return at the signed vehicle pickup after the performance, then go back to the same hotel rather than hoping to connect to a distant island or beach.
How to visit
Book the main performance first, then use the remaining time for the themed lanes or an available side show. In ordinary rain, the indoor main show can replace an exposed viewpoint if travel is operating. During severe weather, confirm the venue is open before leaving your hotel; this is not a guaranteed storm shelter. For passport booking or programme help, call 0898-88658333.

Back to the eight-choice comparison

Eat locally without making seafood a price puzzle

Use First Market 第一市场 and its surrounding restaurants for a city-food evening, then take a taxi back to the Dadonghai hotel. For a Yalong stay, eat around the resort or Baihua Valley when you do not want another long drive. Ask for the last order before taking a late table; a lively market district does not mean every kitchen runs all night.

Look for coconut chicken 椰子鸡, chicken cooked in coconut broth; zaopo vinegar hotpot 糟粕醋, with a sour fermented-rice base; baoluo noodles 抱罗粉 for a simpler meal; and qingbuliang 清补凉, a sweet mixed dessert often served with coconut milk. Hainan’s laoba tea 老爸茶 is a relaxed tea-and-snack habit, worth time in a local café rather than another rushed attraction. The tourism board’s food guide introduces local dishes. Ask what is in the actual bowl: recipes, meat stocks, nuts and seafood ingredients vary.

Agree the whole seafood cost before it is cooked. Read the species, size grade and price unit, watch the net weighing, and ask whether the cooking fee is per dish, per animal or by weight. One jin 斤 is 500 g; one kilogram is two jin. As an arithmetic example—not a market quotation—750 g at CNY 80 per jin costs CNY 120 before a separately agreed CNY 30 cooking charge, making CNY 150. A low price on the tank is not necessarily the finished-dish total.

The tourism board’s seafood guidance recommends checking posted prices, tared scales and the itemised bill, and retaining receipts. Do that before payment. Prefer a clearly priced cooked dish when weighing and preparation terms are unclear. For an unresolved consumer dispute, keep photos of the menu, weight slip and receipt and use 12345 or 12315. A vegetarian dish needs an explicit check for meat broth, lard, oyster sauce and seafood; show your precise restriction rather than relying on an English dish name.

Weather decides the order, not whether the trip works

November–April is the tourism board’s more comfortable season for outdoor time; holidays and school breaks can still be busy. In hotter, wetter months, put exposed walks earlier, rest at the hotel around midday and keep the booking order flexible. Sunscreen, drinking water, shade and shoes with grip matter even for a short visit. A beach photograph does not tell you today’s sea state.

Ordinary rain: keep a longer breakfast, a seated local meal and the hotel’s available indoor facilities; use #8 if a suitable performance is running and travel is safe. Move #3 and #6 to a clearer window. Strong wind, lightning or a closure notice: abandon boats, exposed coast walks and hilltop plans, and remain at the hotel following local instructions. Do not replace one suspended island boat with the other on the assumption that a different pier solves the weather.

Swimming is optional. Being allowed onto a beach, holding a park ticket, seeing other people in the sea and having a sea-view room are four different things from permission to swim. Follow the current marked zone and lifeguards; when swimming is closed, keep the shore visit if open or use the hotel’s pool if it is operating. Never step past barriers for a photograph.

For children, older travellers or limited walking: choose the hotel for its real bed layout and usable facilities, and keep a short shore visit plus a meal as a complete day. Check #2’s specific boarding restriction before planning it for an older family member. Carts reduce some walking at #3, #4 and #6 but do not prove a step-free whole visit. Ask about the exact route and boarding assistance before buying, then keep the hotel-based alternative if it cannot be confirmed.

Sources and practical limits

Sources read on 4 October 2026: operator ticket and programme pages for Wuzhizhou, Nanshan, Forest Park and Songcheng; the Sanya Tourism Board’s attraction, food and transport guides; district government accounts for the basic free-admission parks; and the two hotels’ own room pages and galleries. Seasonal tables are quoted with their actual date ranges. Temporary promotions and old festival dates are not carried forward.

West Island’s current adult fare and return-boat window, Songcheng’s final dated seat price, all passport online-checkout flows, foreign-card payment, live room or ticket inventory, boarding assistance and same-day sea conditions remain untested or unverified. The numbered entries explain how those gaps affect the decision and when to use a land or hotel alternative. Road and visit allowances are editorial planning estimates, not measured trips. Photographs show the places, not current facilities, crowds or operations.

Continue planning through China destinations and use the entry guide for the rules that fit your nationality and journey. This city guide does not promise a particular Hainan entry exemption.
